What we collect
We collect email addresses when you subscribe to the Delfen Practitioner Briefing. We also collect aggregate usage data — pages viewed, device type, approximate country and referring channel — to understand how the site is used. That happens in two separate ways, both described under Analytics: cookieless measurement, which runs for every visitor, and Google Analytics 4, which runs only if you accept the cookie banner. We do not collect names, phone numbers or other personal data unless you provide them directly.
How we use it
Your email is used only to send the weekly Delfen Practitioner Briefing and notifications about new toolkits or the book when it publishes. We never sell, share, or rent your email address.
Newsletter platform
The newsletter is sent via Beehiiv (Beehiiv Inc., United States). Beehiiv processes subscriber data as our data processor under a data processing agreement. See beehiiv.com/privacy.
Analytics
We measure this site in two separate ways, on two different legal bases.
Cookieless measurement. Vercel Analytics (Vercel Inc.) records aggregate page views, device type, approximate country and referring channel — including whether a visit arrived from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Perplexity. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not identify you or follow you across other sites. Because it needs no access to your device, it runs for every visitor on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing how this site is used. You can object at any time by emailing info@delfen.ai.
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) gives us more detail, and it does set cookies. It loads only after you accept the cookie banner — decline and no data is sent to Google. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser. See Google's privacy policy.
We never use either for advertising, and never sell or share the data.
Legal basis (GDPR)
Newsletter processing is based on your explicit consent when you subscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing via the link in any issue, or by emailing info@delfen.ai. Analytics runs on two bases, as set out above: cookieless measurement on our legitimate interest, and Google Analytics 4 on your consent via the cookie banner.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold, and to object to its processing. Email info@delfen.ai — we respond within 30 days.
Cookies
Essential session cookies may be set by your browser for navigation. Beyond those, the only cookies we use are Google Analytics cookies, placed solely if you accept the cookie banner. Decline, and no analytics or advertising cookies are set. We do not use advertising cookies. The cookieless measurement described under Analytics sets no cookies at all, so your choice here does not affect it.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will notify subscribers via the briefing. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
